On Sunday, January 3, 2021, Yvonne Marie Blick went home to her Heavenly Father at the age of 73. 

Yvonne was born in October 1947 in Hailey, Idaho to Mercedes and Donald Ubhoff. She grew up in San Francisco and received a  Bachelor of Arts in English from San Francisco State University. Eventually moving to Fremont, Yvonne worked and retired as a Senior Clinical Lab Scientist, after 40 years of service at Washington Hospital. 

Yvonne was a beloved mother and grandmother to twin children, Brian and Sherie, grandson Justice, and her fur-baby, Athena.

Yvonne had a passion for travel at an early age and an excitement for trying new foods. Staying true to her SF roots, she was a die hard 49er fan, and also enjoyed watching tennis and Sharks games. She loved board games, crossword puzzles/word searches, and volunteering at her home parish of Holy Spirit in Fremont- dedicating her time with St. Vincent de Paul and helping in the parish rectory.  She was a devout Roman Catholic, known for her kind, selfless, and compassionate spirit. 

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, Mercedes and Donald Ubhoff. She is survived by her son Brian (Kathy), her daughter Sherie (Peter), her grandson and light of her life Justice, among numerous friends whom were dearly loved. 

A vigil will be held on Friday, January 15th, 2021 at Grissoms Chapel (San Lorenzo) at 10 o’clock a.m. for family and intimate friends, and will be available live stream for all wishing to attend. A private funeral will be held for family only. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital for those wishing to honor Yvonne’s memory.
