Winifred Chen entered peacefully into rest in San Leandro on December 27, 2017.  She was 90 years old.

Born in Singapore on November 3, 1927, Winifred was the 6th of 17 children born to Ching Kee Sun and Gee Hee Nghan.  She graduated from Katong Convent in Singapore before moving to maker her home in the Bay Area.  WInifred worked as a telephone operator.for over 20 years.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed gardening, cooking and caring for her family. Her kind and thoughtful ways will be deeply missed.

Winifred is survived by her children, Al Chen (Deanna) and Brenda Myers (Tim); grandchildren, Lauren & AJ Mills Jr., Kathryn Chen, Karina Myers and MIcaela Myers; great grandchild, Bo Mills; many cherished extended family and friends.

VIsitation will be 4 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo.  The vigil service begins at 6:30 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated t 10:30 am at St. Felicitas Catholic Church, 1662 Manor Blvd., San Leandro.  Winifred will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
