William Rogers, better known to his friends and family as “Will” passed away after a short hospital stint on December 30, 2016.

 Will was best known for his effortlessly sweet and gentle nature, his big warm hugs and his unique style. Will was loved and cherished by all who knew him. Will had an amazing group of friends and was an active member in giving back to his community. Chaperoning dances, giving to charities and handing out meals on Thanksgiving to those in need are just to name a few. Everyone who knew Will, knew him as a social butterfly. A social butterfly who was always in the nicest boots in the building, no doubt about it. He was never afraid to welcome new faces and help people feel comfortable. He loved listening to music, singing karaoke and dancing. Soft spoken but so inviting, he had a very natural ability to make someone feel not just wanted or accepted but celebrated.

  Born in 1959 in Virginia, to Marion and Frances Rogers Will was the younger brother to his big sister Cassandra (deceased). His father, active in the military moved with the family to the Bay Area where Will and his sister would spend the majority of their lives. After he graduated from high school, Will would start a career in Master Planning that would eventually lead him to a job in San Francisco. He loved being in San Francisco every day and would, of course, go on to create lasting friendships there as well.

  There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 3 P.M. held at The World Famous Turf Club, 22519 Main St. Hayward, Ca. 94541 all are encouraged to attend, share stories and listen to the inspiring words about our dear friend Will. His presence, smile and laughter will be sorely missed.
