Walter M. Schoenenberger of Hayward, CA. passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2022 at the age of 94.

Walter was born on August 12, 1927 in Switzerland. After marrying Maria Schoenenberger, they both immigrated to the United States in 1956 and raised four children in Hayward, CA.

Walter was a sausage maker by trade then transitioned to a ski technician at Swiss Ski Chalet where he would share his love for skiing with everyone he came in contact. Walter enjoyed everything outdoors; skiing, cycling, backpacking, camping, gardening and a one-time bungy jump!

Walter is survived by his four children, Olivia of Caldwell, ID, Charlie of San Ramon, CA, Peter of Oakdale, CA and Rita of Livermore, CA, nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Grissom's Cremation & Burial Centers.
