Virginia “Virgie” Custodio passed away November 11, 2018 at the age of 78. She was born October 8, 1940 in Jolo Sulu, Philippines, to parents Anacorita Lopez and Nicanor Calbitaza.

Virginia worked as a caregiver at Acacia Lodge, and then moved to the Imaginarium to work as a medical assembler before her retirement. She attended the University of Notre Dame. She loved cooking, taking long walks around the neighborhood, and watching and cheering on her favorite teams – the Oakland A’s and the Oakland Warriors. She also loved to watch tennis.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 54 years, Pio Custodio, children Dennis Custodio (Lalaine), Ana (Lizzette) Reyes (Gerardo), and Analyn Custodio; grandchildren Joachim Custodio (Nina) and Alexandra Reyes; and siblings Lourdes Mananghaya and Bibiana Timbang.

Visitation for Virginia will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 from 1:00 – 8:00 PM, at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, with a Vigil to be held at 7:00 PM. Mass will be held Tuesday, November 20 at 10:00 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 264 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. Virginia will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
