Virgie Hughes entered peacefully into rest in Pleasant Hill, California on January 11, 2024. She was 101 years old.

Born February 15, 1922 in Oklahoma to parents Tookah and Earnest H. Gilstrap, Virgie worked as a bartender for 20 years. She will be greatly missed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary.
