Verleen Jean Miller Quarneri, age 69, passed away on Wednesday July 25, 2018 in San Leandro, California. She was the eldest of four children. Verleen enjoyed life through all hardship. She spent most of her life as a much beloved and nurturing nurse. She adored children, family gatherings, camping, shopping, playing slots, bingo, and being outside to enjoy the sun. Verleen will be remembered as someone who loved to laugh, and was endlessly energetic to all the many friends she made throughout her life.

Verleen is survived by her husband Paul and children Lisa, Kristine, Tracey, Mark and Thomas; sisters Patricia and Cheryl, and her brother Gary. She has 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints El Vista Chapel, 731 El Vista Ave, Modesto, CA. Funeral Services will be held at the same location at 12:00 PM with Brother Michael Brinton conducting. Burial will follow at Acacia Memorial Park, 801 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA, and will be conducted by Pastor Brandon Johnson. Verleen will be laid to rest near her mother and father, Velma J. Beitz and Verle A. McCurdy, who both preceded her in death.
