Tom was born on May 25, 1947 in Oakland, CA to Tom and Eleanor Spores. He spent most of his life driving a school bus for Hayward and Berkeley Unified School District(s). On July 31, 1977, he married Donna Sue Joaquin. They raised one son, Louis F. Spores.

Tom had a passion for his church and a group called the Knights of Columbus, which he lived his life by. The Knights of Columbus was a huge part of his life, he loved everything about them. He also loved to travel with his wife, son and daughter-in-law. He loved his daughter-in-law so much, that he considered her more like a daughter. He loved to go on cruises and was able to travel to Mexico and the Caribbean. The Caribbean was his favorite destination. He was known for his quick and quirky wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Tom was preceded in death by his father Tom, his mother Eleanor and his brother Greg. He is survived by his wife Donna, his son Louis, and his wife/daughter Ashley, sister Maureen and her husband Frank, his aunt Dolores, niece Carol, nephews, Scott and Frank, and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Grissom's Funeral Home, located at 267 E. Lewelling Blvd, San Lorenzo, CA 94580 with a vigil to be held at 7:00 PM. The funeral will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at St John's Church located at 264 E. Lewelling Blvd, San Lorenzo CA 94580. Flowers or donations may be sent to Grissom's Funeral Home.
