It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tarlochan Singh Matharu, who left us on April 10th, 2025 at his home in San Ramon, California. He was preceded in death by his father Ranjit Singh and mother Gian Kaur Matharu.

Tochi spent almost 40 years building and maintaining systems as a Mainframe Architect, constantly being promoted and winning a myriad of company awards. He also dedicated his life to being a beacon of love and fun for his friends and family, spending his free time playing golf, shooting pool, and traveling with loved ones. He was known for his humor, free spirit, and jovial energy.

He is survived by his spouse Kamaljeet Kaur Matharu and his two sons Krispal and Ranjay Singh Matharu, as well as his siblings, Popinder, Rani, Manori, Bhole, Keval, Manea, and Devinder 

A memorial service will be held on April 19th at 10am PST, at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ngong Road Children’s Foundation (link here) honoring Tochi’s love for his home country of Kenya.

Tochi will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
