Suruj Kuar Rattan passed away peacefully in Hayward, CA on June 17, 2017.  She was 82 years old.

Born in Suva, Fiji on February 3, 1935, Suruj was one of 6 children.   She attended Arya Samaj School in Fiji.  Suruj was a talented cook who enjoyed entertaining and spending time with her loved ones.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Suruj is survived by her daughters, Saleshni Lala and Reshmi Narayan; grandchildren, Aman Lala, Pawan Lala, Rahil Narayan and Amil Narayan; 5 siblings and many cherished extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vikram Rattan.

Services for Suruj will begin at 1 pm and conclude at 2:30 pm with cremation.
