Shirley Arnerich, resident of San Leandro passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on October 31, 2023 at the age of 96.

Shirley was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 27, 1927 to Harry and Florence Christenson and is the oldest and last survivor of six siblings.  Shirley graduated Valedictorian from McClymonds High School in 1945.  Shirley married Paul “Hutch” Arnerich on October 20, 1946, and welcomed 13 children while building a life together for over 65 years.

Shirley was a dedicated homemaker and a woman of great compassion, who would do anything for family or friends.  Shirley was a woman of strong faith, big smiles, enjoyed playing Bingo, trips to the casinos, lottery scratchers, and travelling.  Most of all her devotion to family was paramount.  Shirley often commented on how she never could have imagined the life she has lived.
