Geri was born on May 14, 1936 in Wisconsin to Leo & Beulah Gasper. She was raised on a dairy farm with her five siblings. Her family ran a summer resort on the farm, where she met her husband of 66 years, Fred. They were married in 1957, moved to Chicago, where she worked as a medical technician. They lived in Minneapolis, Dearborn & Memphis. In 1970 they settled in San Ramon. They had five children. Geri was a stay at home Mom, provided daycare for friends & supervised newspaper carriers. Geri eventually turned her gift for interior design into a successful business. She retired along with her husband, in 1994. During early retirement they traveled Europe, took cruises & enjoyed spending time at their timeshare in Pacific Grove. Geri continued her volunteer work at the Senior Center and Battered Women’s Shelter. Geri was an avid reader, who also enjoyed gardening & couples Bridge. Spending time with family & friends was her favorite pastime. Everything changed with the onset of Parkinson’s Disease, over a decade ago. Geri kept her positive outlook & warm smile while battling this debilitating disease. Geri passed away at home on November 11, 2023 with her best friend & love of her life holding her hand. She was preceded in death by her children David & Stacy, her parents & her sister, Terry. She is survived by her husband, Fred. Children Suzanne, Steve & Anne. Grandchildren Derek & Sarah. Siblings Joan, Reggie, Don & Rick.

A funeral mass will be held at 10am on January 11, 2024, St. Raymond’s Catholic Church 11555 Shannon Ave. Dublin, CA. A celebration of life will follow at 11am in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to; Parkinson’s Foundation & Contra Costa Humane Society.
