Russell Grant Arata passed away in San Lorenzo, California, on May 26, 2018 at the age of 69.  One of ten siblings, he was born in California on May 25, 1949 to Russell and Elizabeth Arata (Sefton).

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Wendy; and his children Jori Arata and Hilary Arata.

A plumber, Russell owned his own construction business; in addition, he worked at Home Depot in Pleasanton, California for 3 years. Russell enjoyed fishing, softball (he was a pitcher), fixing things, and gardening.

The family has entrusted Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary with funeral arrangements.
