Rosetta Marie Norfleet passed away January 1, 2019 in Oakland, California, at the age of 96. She was born August 4, 1922 in Lake Village, Arkansas to parents Betty and Walter Barnes.

Rosetta worked in housekeeping at Oakland Hospital for 29 years, after graduating from high school, and then Morris Booker College.

Rosetta is survived by her children Alfred Gene Parkinson Jr. and Patricia Armstrong; and grandchildren Dhymon Armstrong, Miricle Armstrong, Lyneisha Burks, Myisha Burks, Aaron Burks, Karla Beverly, Dante Hunter and Marlon Nathaniel. Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Harvey Walter Norfleet Sr.

Visitation for Rosetta will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd, San Lorenzo, CA. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Rolling Hills Cemetery, 4100 Hilltop Dr, Richmond, CA.
