Ronald Richard Phillips, 58, passed away at his home in Hayward, CA on February 16, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held at United Methodist Church, 19806 Wisteria Street, Castro Valley on March 3, 2018 at 1 p.m.

Ron was born on September 23, 1959 in Orange, CA to Ron and Judi Phillips. He graduated from Serra High School in San Mateo and became a journeyman carpenter shortly thereafter. He went on to become an accomplished contractor and master carpenter for forty years. Ron was active in Boy Scouts from an early age and helped his two sons and other boys to attain the rank of Eagle Scout. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, cards and collecting.

Ron is survived by his grandmother, Dottie Crump of Cathedral City; his parents Ron and Judi Phillips of Oakdale; sons Ryan Anthony of Hayward, and Ronald Alexander “Alex” of Napa and their mother Kimberly Barbaria; brothers Steven of Modesto, David of San Mateo and Charles “Chris” of Vancouver, WA.; nephew Jeremy and nieces Melissa, Erin and Amanda.
