Roger F. Thornton of Pleasanton passed away surrounded by friends and family in Fremont on January 5, 2017. He was 92 years old.

 Born in Iowa in 1924, Roger would graduate high school then enlist in the United States Navy in 1943. Roger would serve our country proudly. Roger and his beloved wife, Sally would go onto raise a family and reside in the Bay Area for 55 years.

 As a husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend; his laughter, smile and sense of humor will be forever missed.
