Rodney (Rod) William Yee entered peacefully into rest in Castro Valley, California on April 10, 2020. He was 68 years old.

Born December 17, 1951 in Oakland, California to parents William and Amy Yee, Rodney graduated first from UC Riverside and then from Talbot Seminary, where he received his Masters of Divinity. He went on to serve as the Acting Deputy Police Chief in Oakland and Pastor of the San Lorenzo Japanese Christian Church for many years.  

Rodney is survived by his wife of 40 years, Koko; daughter Irene; siblings Randy, Rich and Russ; and many other loving family members and friends. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Rodney's Life will be planned for a later date, once shelter in place restrictions have been lifted.
