Robert "Poppy" Stevens entered peacefully into rest at his San Leandro home on September 13, 2017. He was 74 years old.

On May 14,1943, Robert was born in Oakland to Donald Steven and Hazel Cabral and his sibilings; Donald Stevens, Carol Stevens, and Barbara Valenzuela. He attened Castlemont H.S. Robert was an owner and opertator of RL Stevens Coorporation for 50 years.

He was married to his spouse Billie Stevens for 39 years. Stevens was a loving father to 6 of his children; David Stevens, Robin Cordova (Jerry), Chris Stevens (Jennifer), Sherry Barillas (Rafael), Patrick Cardiasmenos, and Kathy Pereira.

Robert was also a grandfather to 10 beautiful grandchildren/great-grandchildren.

Stevens spent his life photographing, being poppy, spending time with his grandkids, and watching NASCAR. He also donated to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
