Robert C. Thorup: 1918-2020

Robert C. Thorup, Sr of Walnut Creek, California passed away on Monday, April 13th, 2020, at the age of 101. Bob died peacefully at John Muir Medical Center with family by his side following a brief decline of his health.

Bob was born in Oakland, California on May 21, 1918 to Father Carl E. Thorup of Aalborg, Denmark and Mother Edith Ulbrich, of Wisconsin, USA. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lorena Thorup, and his brother, Don Thorup. He is survived by his sister, Marilyn McLaughlin, his sons, Robert Jr., Thomas, and Steven Thorup and Stepsons, Greg and Randy Louis. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kim Rockwell, Niels and John Thorup, Theresa Seiter, Cynthia Bell, and Vernon Louis and great grandchildren Morgan Rockwell, Alivia Bell, James Seiter, and Keira Louis.
