Richard Neil Simpson, 74, of Rocklin, California passed away on August 18th. He passed away peacefully in his sleep after suffering from complications with kidney failure.
Richard was born in Boonville, Missouri to William and Ada Simpson (Bill and Tommie). He graduated from Livermore High School and later attended Chabot College. While attending Chabot, Richard would meet the love of his life, Wendalyn.
For more than forty years, “Rich” was involved in industrial sales and service. He spent time with Ford, Carquest, Caterpillar, the Port of Oakland, and San Leandro Door.
Richard was a longtime supporter of the Boy Scouts of America and San Leandro High School music and athletic programs. Disneyland always had a special hold on Richard’s heart and wallet.
Loved ones that will miss Richard until they meet again are his wife of fifty years, Wendalyn; his three sons and their wives Scott and Shaleah Simpson, Eric and Alexis Simpson, Paul and Angela Simpson; his ten grandchildren Eli, Robin, Savannah, Scarlett, Paisley, Tekla, Brielle, Sessily, Emily, and William; and his Sister Sharon (Rod) Pavao.
Following a private viewing, a celebration of life will occur at 4pm Friday, August 27, 2021. It will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints chapel at 13901 Bancroft Avenue, San Leandro, CA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Humanitarian Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
