Ricardo "Rica" Rangel Mendez entered peacefully into rest in Oakland, California on December 13, 2019. He was 52 years old.

Born December 30, 1966 in Mexico D.F., the second of six children to parents Maria de Socorro Mendez and Leon Rangel Huerta, Ricardo worked as a mechanic at Gen Star for 28 years. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cristina Ramirez Lopez; children Daniel (Jaki), Brenda (Richard), Arsolette, and Rianffrey; mother Maria de Socorro; and siblings Patricia, Alejandra, Paola and Nancy. He was preceded in death by his father Leon and brother Luis. 

A Memorial Service for Ricardo will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA.
