Rae Anna McElroy passed away January 6, 2019 at the age of 84. She was born September 25, 1924 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Emma and Newell Knight.

Rae worked primarily as a housewife, but also worked at the phone company for 4 years. She enjoyed reading, walking, long drives, laughter, painting, birds, and flowers.

Rae is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dale A. McElroy; children Kerry McElroy, Bryan McElroy, Chet McElroy, Brenda McElroy, and Pam McElroy;grandchildren Bryan L. McElroy Jr., Kristina Adams, Jereme Adams, and Brandon Brooks; great grandchildren Skyler Adams and Devon McElroy; and siblings Nuleen Gibson, Mary Pete Bender and Dixie Knight; many loving extended family and cherished friends.

A Celebration of Rae’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA.
