Prakriti (Kali) Yajnik passed away on December 1, 2024 at the age of 77 in her long-time home in Pleasanton, CA. She was born in Baroda, Gujarat, in Colonial India.

She wore many hats throughout her life. She was a coddled daughter, a respected sister, a steadfast friend, a patient wife, a nurturing mother, an enthusiastic artist, a fearless entrepreneur, a cuddly grandmother, and so much more. She was interested in finance and income tax and earned her Masters in Economics from Indore University. She loved puzzles, gardening and DIY projects—and even refinished an entire basement without the help of a contractor. Never afraid to tackle new challenges, she successfully ran (and sold) several diverse businesses over the years. Kali loved the color pink and old Hindi songs. But her favorite pastime was making Kashyap take down the drapes so she could tinker with them.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years – Kashyap; her two children – Alay and Juhi; their spouses – Anuradha and Navin; and her grandchildren – Avinash, Kaya, Anaya and Raina. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters – Nisargi, Niyati, Niraj, and their families.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday December 7, 2024 at 10am at the following address:
