Phillip Manuel Costa entered peacefully into rest in Hayward on September 18, 2017.  He was 76 years old.

Born to Manuel and Marie Costa on November 28, 1940, Phillip was a lifelong resident of Alameda County.  He was a longtime transportation driver, working for many local warehouses.  He had a quick wit and an infectious sense of humor that will be deeply missed.

Phillip is survived by his children, Eric & Kara Costa of Castro Valley and Camie & Eddie Bowling of Fremont; his grandchildren, Brooke, Marissa, Jordan, Dalton and Cruz; many loving extended family and cherished friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, LaVerne Hernandez.

A celebration of his life is being planned for a later date.
