Penelope “Penny”  Mary Madison was born in Arlington, Massachusetts on November 7, 1937 to Arthur John and Catharine Rose Mele (Tavanese). She passed away in Hayward, California on April 13, 2018 at the age of 80. She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Donald Madison.

A graduate of Boston University, School of Education, Penny taught Business Education at Alameda High School in Alameda, California, for 30 years. Her hobbies included reading, crocheting, sewing and embroidrey. Penny will be missed by her siblings Christine R. Williams, Michael A. Mele, and Jerry J. Mele.

A Celebration of Her Life will take place on Thursday, April 19, at 2:00PM at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA 94580. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made to the ASPCA, or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
