Odete Ferreira Resende entered into rest on February 4th, 2023 in San Leandro, California. She was 95 years old.

She was born in Pico, Azores in 1928. Odete was part of the San Pablo Holy Ghost Association, Ashland Holy Ghost Association, and the Luso American Fraternal Federation Council 5C. She enjoyed painting, crochet, cooking, travelling, and attending family and social functions. She lived a long life of kindness and compassion.

She is survived by her devoted children Alice Alforno (John), Linda Souza (Dan), her grandchildren Elyse Souza, Michael Souza, Deeva Shah, and her sister Elvira Almeida. She was preceded in death by her husbands Antonio Ferreira and Raul Resende and her siblings Manuel Garcia, Jose Garcia, Emilio Garcia, Alberto Garcia, and Maria Serpa.

A viewing will be held at 9:00am on Monday, February 13th, to be followed by services at 10:30am at St. John's Catholic Church. She will be interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, California.
