Mildred Knight passed away on April 19, 2019, in Pleasanton, California. She was 92 years old.

Born September 20, 1926 in Honolulu, Hawaii to parents Violet and Anthony Gomes, Mildred worked as a homemaker all of her life, and also provided daycare for many children throughout the years. She will be remembered as loving and kind by all who knew her.

Mildred is survived by her children John A. and Jeanne Humes of Dublin, Judy Williams of Newbury Park, and stepdaughters Debbie Knight and Jeanne Robles; grandchildren Rachelle, Cynthia, Jacob, Robert, Janelle, Troy, Shawna, and step grandchildren Ronnie, Jaime and Leah; great grandchildren Nicole, Brittney, Jaylee, Jackson, Kevin, Ian, Donovan, CJ, Hayden, Kalani, Dominic, Aiyanah, Nalia, and Noah; and great great grandson Liam. She was preceded in death by her husbands Robert Humes (1965) and Robert Knight (1979); son Robert Humes; and four siblings.

Services for Mildred will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA. She will be laid to rest at Lone Tree Cemetery in Hayward, California.
