Mildred Jane Payne entered peacefully into rest in Castro Valley, California on January 18, 2023. She was 92 years old.

Born April 10, 1930 in Louisiana to parents Julia and Ludie Smith, Mildred worked as a certified nursing assistant for 28 years. She will be greatly missed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary.
