Mildred Herma Ryder passed away in San Leandro, California on February 5, 2021. She will forever be remembered in our hearts and for her kindness to everyone, a loan or a cooked meal or a shoulder to lean on.

She was married to the love of her life, Lockwood (John) Ryder for many years. 

Mildred received loving care from her sister, Dorothy Pavon; and nieces Laura Bose and Stephanie Bose. Jill Corrieo and Donna Campbell kept her busy on the phone which brought her many hours of laughs and smiles, and many other friends checked in to see how she was doing. 

We called her the cat lady because she fed all the feral cats with special care, especially Tuxedo, who has been cared for by her neighbor, Con Clifford, which made her very happy. 

Sadly, she missed her goal of reaching 100, but she made it to 98 1/2.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 12:30 PM at Lone Tree Cemetery, under the direction of Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, San Lorenzo, CA. Pastor Randy McGrady-Beach will be officiating.
