Miguel Rivera Villagomez entered peacefully into rest in Castro Valley, California on October 29, 2021. He was 87 years old.

Born September 24, 1934 in El Sabino, Guanajuato, México to parents Jesus Rivera and Ma de Soccoro Villagomez Villagomez, Miguel loved gardening, walking and praying.

Miguel is survived by his children Miguel Rivera, Juan Carlos Rivera, Marta Cortes, Eugeno Rivera, Ma de Rosario Rivera and Ma de Soccoro Rivera; grandchildren Juan Rivera, Maria Rivera, Jerry Rivera, Mayra Cortes, Yesenia Cortes, Micheal Rivera, Mariela Aboytes, Isabel Cortes, Maria Aboytes, Eduardo Velázquez, Jocelin Cortes, Evelin Aboytes, Lizbet Cortes, Markus Rivera, Maria Velázquez, Daniel Rivera, Michelle Cortes, Teresa Rivera, Teresa Velázquez, Salvador Velázquez and Lupita Rivera; great grandchildren Max Rivera, Juan Miguel Rivera, Jose Miguel Martinez, Guadalupe Rivera, Nicole Ariana Martinez, Katherine Rivera, Kaitlyn Rivera, Said Rivera, Luis Adriel Martinez, Kristen Rivera, Leonardo Andres Ferrel, Adally Guadalupe Rosales and Dylan Rivera; brother Antonio Rivera Villagomez; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Teresa Nieto Jurado, and siblings Margarita Rivera Villagomez and Alfonzo Rivera Villagomez. Miguel will be deeply missed.

Services for Miguel will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA. Miguel will be laid to rest at Panteón Municipal de El Sabino in México.
