Melvin Leroy Vares entered peacefully into rest at home in San Ramon, California on November 27, 2023. He was 85 years old.

Born September 9, 1938 in Hawaii to parents Lei and Adelino Vares, Melvin worked as an airline mechanic for 40 years. He is survived by his beloved wife Leonita and many other loving family members and friends, and will be deeply missed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Grissom’s Cremation & Burial Centers.
