Mateo “Teo” De la Torre passed away September 27, 2018 at the age of 18, in Hayward, CA. He was born February 16, 2000 in Oakland, CA to parents Maritza Hernandez and Octavio De la Torre.

Mateo worked at Walmart and was a student at Alternatives in Action High School. Outside of work, Mateo enjoyed biking with friends, playing video games, and producing music beats. He was a talented impersonator of different accents.

Mateo is survived by his parents, Maritza Hernandez and Octavio De la Torre; siblings Marcos Barcenas, Cynthia De la Torre, Jasmine De la Torre, Jocelyn Gomez, and Abraham De la Torre; nephew Gabriel Treadwel; niece Victoria Barcenas; and girlfriend Noreli Garcia.

Visitation for Mateo will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA, with Services to follow at 11:00 AM. Mateo will be laid to rest at Mt. Eden Cemetery, 2440 Depot Rd., Hayward, CA 94545.
