Mary Elizabeth Souza passed away on August 16, 2016 in Hayward, California. She was born in Oakland, California on  February 2, 1926, to parents; Daniel and Herminia Oliveira. She attended Castlemont High School and was a homemaker for 64 years.
Mary enjoyed cooking, gardening and mostly she loved caring for her family. She was married to her husband Joseph Souza for 54 years. Mary is survived by her children; Daniel, Joseph, Mary Teresa and David. Her grandchildren; Elyse, Michael and Sophia. Her Siblings; Joseph Oliveira and Emily Souza.
A visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 23, 2016 from 5:00- 8:00pm with a vigil at 7:00m at Grissom's Chapel and Mortuary 267 E. Lewelling Blvd. San Lorenzo,Ca. 94580. 
A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday at St John's Catholic Church at 10:00am 264 E. Lewelling Blvd. San Lorenzo, Ca. 94580.
An graveside service will follow immediately at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, California.
