Marie Irene Sanchez entered peacefully into rest at home in San Leandro, California on February 9, 2021. She was 89 years old. 

Born February 26, 1931 in Walsenburg, Colorado to parents Cora and Domingo Vasquez, Marie worked in retail for over 30 years. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. 

Marie is survived by her children Kathy Elizarrey, Anthony Sanchez and Paula Gomez; grandchildren Tony, Elina, Ronnie, Elisia and Elroy; great grandchildren Mookie, Darrien, Anthony, Adrianna, Hailey, Dominic, Jenae, Olivia, Paul, Lailah, Angelo and Mia; great great grandchild Celeste, and one more on the way. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 29 years, Lupe Granados; daughter Marlene Medina; and granddaughter Ina. 

Marie will be deeply missed.
