Maria “Mariquita” Aureoles Garcia, a beloved mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, in Newark, California, at the age of 91.

Maria was born on February 20, 1935, in Michoacán, Mexico, to Narciso Aureoles and Constancia Garcia. She dedicated her life to what mattered most to her: her family.

For 70 years, Maria was a homemaker, but her family knew that her role was so much more than simply keeping a home. She was the heart, strength, and backbone of her family. She raised six children and built a life through hard work, determination, and always cared deeply for the people she loved.

Maria was a strong, and fierce woman. She had a personality that could never be forgotten. She was not afraid to speak her mind, stand her ground, or tell you exactly what she thought. When Maria believed in something, she did not give up easily. She faced life on her own terms and taught those around her to be strong, resilient, and independent.

Behind that fierce exterior was a woman with a tremendous capacity for love. Maria showed her love through everything she did for her family. She cared deeply, protected fiercely, and gave of herself without hesitation. If Maria loved you, you knew it and you knew she would always have your back.

Maria had many talents and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and cooking delicious food. Her creativity was another way she expressed herself and brought something special into the lives of her family.

Maria shared 40 years of marriage with her husband, Marin Gutierrez, who passed away in 1994. Together, they raised their family and created a legacy that continues through their children, grandchildren, and future generations.

Maria leaves behind a family that will remember her not only for the love she gave, but for the strength of her character. She was a woman who knew how to survive, how to fight for her family, and how to keep going even when life was difficult. She was fierce when she needed to be, and loving in ways that her family will carry with them forever.

Durante 70 años, María fue ama de casa, pero para su familia su papel fue mucho más que simplemente cuidar un hogar. Ella fue el corazón, la fuerza y el pilar de su familia. Crió a seis hijos y construyó una vida con mucho trabajo, determinación y siempre dio todo por las personas que amaba.

María fue una mujer fuerte y de carácter firme. Tenía una personalidad que nunca se podía olvidar. No tenía miedo de decir lo que pensaba, defender su posición o decirte exactamente lo que sentía. Cuando María creía en algo, no se daba por vencida fácilmente. Vivió la vida a su manera y enseñó a quienes la rodeaban a ser fuertes, resistentes e independientes.

Detrás de ese carácter fuerte había una mujer con un enorme corazón y una gran capacidad para amar. María demostraba su amor a través de todo lo que hacía por su familia. Se preocupaba profundamente por los suyos, los protegía con todo su corazón y siempre estaba dispuesta a darlo todo por ellos. Si María te quería, lo sabías, y también sabías que siempre iba a estar de tu lado.

María tenía muchos talentos y disfrutaba coser, tejer, hacer crochet y cocinar rica comida. Su creatividad era otra manera de expresarse y de llevar algo especial a la vida de su familia.

María compartió 40 años de matrimonio con su esposo, Marin Gutierrez, quien falleció en 1994. Juntos criaron a su familia y construyeron un legado que continúa a través de sus hijos, nietos y las futuras generaciones.

María deja una familia que la recordará no solamente por el amor que dio, sino también por la fuerza de su carácter. Fue una mujer que sabía salir adelante, luchar por su familia y seguir adelante aun cuando la vida se ponía difícil.
