Marguerite Diane Silva entered peacefully into rest in Hayward, California on September 15, 2021. She was 83 years old. 

Born January 31, 1938 in Oakland, California to parents Robert J. Edwards and Fern M. Scott, Marguerite graduated from Castlemont High School and went on to work as a hairdresser for over 50 years. She loved cooking, gardening and raising her family, making sure every holiday and birthday were celebrated. She was a friend to many and treated all who knew her as family. Regardless of relation, she was known to many as ‘Granny.’

Marguerite is survived by her children Robert, Michelle (Joseph) and Julianne; grandchildren Danielle (Fabian) and Dianna (Carlos); great grandchildren Gilbert, Luis, Esai and Gabrianna; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Joseph Silva; and son Stephen. Marguerite will be deeply missed.
