Marcie E. Correia entered peacefully into rest in San Lorenzo, California on September 16, 2019, at the age of 57.

Born October 3, 1961 in Oakland, California to parents Sophia and Richard Pointer, Marcie worked as an instructional assistant for Elk Grove Unified School District for over 20 years. 

More than anything, Marcie loved spending time with her grandchildren and caring for her beloved cats Cali and Gemini. She is survived by her children Michele Correia, Melissa Correia, and Phillip Correia; grandchildren Mia Guillermo, Michael Ace Khamseh, Phillip "Pops" Correia and Mateo Santos; mother Sophia Pointer, and siblings Michele Dewhirst, Shawn Thomas and David Thomas. She was preceded in death by her father Richard Pointer.

A Mass will be held for Marcie at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 7, 2019 at St. John's Catholic Church, 264 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA.
