Manuel daRosa Correia of San Lorenzo entered peacefully into rest on February 19, 2017. He was 78.

Born in Faial, Azores on January 15, 1939 to Luis and Gloria Correia. Manuel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He took great pride in his family and always willing to do anything for his grandchildren of whom he loved so very much. Manuel loved to go fishing and spent countless days farming his own produce on his private property. Manuel proudly served his country in the Portuguese Army for 3 years. He retired from the American Licorice company after 16 years of dedicated employment.

Manuel is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Maria Correia, children; Maria Zuraida (John), Luis Manuel (Fatima), grandchildren; Teresa (T.J.), Kevin and Zorida and great-grandson Tommy, sister; Maria Lourdes. He was pre-deceased by 2 brothers, Luis and Jose.
