Linda Eleanor, 91, of San Jose, California, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on September 9, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, Linda was the daughter of the late Phillip and Bernice Zazueta. She married the love of her life, the late Julio Hinojos, and together they raised nine children. Their home was filled with unwavering love, support, and laughter—a foundation that carried through generations.
Linda was a fun, friendly, and deeply compassionate woman who brightened every space she entered. She was known for her love of music and dancing, her joy in being near the ocean, and her gift for making everyone feel welcome. To her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “Granny Goose,” a name that perfectly captured her playful spirit and warm heart. She was a true friend to everyone she met and had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen, loved, and appreciated. We know she is now dancing on the streets of gold, just as joyfully as she did here on earth.
Linda will be deeply missed by her children, her 18 grandchildren, her 35 great-grandchildren, her friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in each of them.
