Leonard Haze

Life Legacy

Leonard E. Haze passed away on Sunday September 11, 2016 at his home in Hayward, California. 

He was born on September 7, 1955 in California to parents; Billy Ray and Antoinette Haze. Leonard was a rock drummer and songwriter he was the founding member of "Y & T" ( Yesterday and Today). He toured around the world headlining with bands; AC/DC, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osborne, Rush and Van Halen. Leonard at one point was the drummer for Deep Purple where they toured to the Soviet Union, during the Cold War. Haze reunited with Y & T in the early 2000's and toured through out the U.S. They parted ways in the mid 2000's, but that never stopped Leonard from rocking out even while his breathing tube and oxygen tank were along side him on stage. He battled for years with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. He was only 61 years old.  

He is survived by his wife; Kelly, step-daughter; Danielle, Step son; Brian, his mom; Toni and his beloved dog; Buster. 

A celebration of life will be held Thursday September 29, 2016 at 3:30pm at the Moose Lodge 20835 Rutledge Rd.Castro Valley, Ca. 94546.
