Lenora Keali’iluahine Keahilihau was born on March 10, 1932, in Keaukaha, Hilo, Hawaii to Joseph and Harriet Keahilihau, and passed away at 90 with her daughter by her side in San Lorenzo, California on July 13, 2022. Better known for many years simply as “Aunty Lynn”, she made an incredible impact on the Hawaiian community and was an icon, garnering her title as the most well-known Hawaiian on this side of the Pacific Ocean by her granddaughter.
Aunty Lynn is survived by so many loving family and friends including her daughter, Nora Lynn Mootz and Tanya Tilton; grandchildren, Damon, Keahi, Erin, Chris, and Micah; and great grandchildren Elizabeth and Jett. She will be laid to rest at the Kaneohe Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery with her husband Frank who proceeded her in death. Aunty Lynn will be lovingly remembered for her contributions and devotion to the Hawaiian community.
