Lee Ann Genet was born on September 23, 1938, in San Francisco, California, to Paul and Mabel Bellamy. As the daughter of a military family, she spent part of her childhood living in Germany before returning to the United States to continue her education. She attended Stanford University and later Purdue University, where she distinguished herself as one of only two women to earn a degree in Civil Engineering in her graduating class.
Although her travels took her to every continent at least once, California always held a special place in Lee’s heart. She had a lifelong love of Siamese cats, breeding and showing primarily Lilac-Point Siamese, and proudly raised several champion cats over the years. Professionally, she dedicated herself to serving the county school district, where she gave generously of her time, energy, and compassion until her retirement.
Lee is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Andersen of Lehi, Utah; her son-in-law, Clayton Andersen; six granddaughters; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Private Celebration of Her life will be held privately.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary.
