Sumitra Kharbanda was born on January 4, 1935, in India, to Tehlia and Ramdevi Batra (Tarika). She passed away on May 12, 2018, in Dublin, California, at the age of 83.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years Parvesh Kharbanda; children Sunil and Sanjeev Kharbanda; and grandchildren Love, Kush, Sonal, and Shivani Kharbanda; siblings Lekh, Baldev, Tarsaim and Nirmal. Sumrita is predeceased by her parents and her siblings Lay Wanti, Raj, Pyari, and Pravesh.

A resident of Dublin, California, Sumrita enjoyed traveling and shopping.

Services for Sumitra Kharbanda will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, starting with a Visitation from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., with a Service at 11:00 A.M., at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA.
