Karla Maleni Ramirez Segoviano died tragically in Oakland on Thursday, November 3, 2016. She was only 21 years old.

 Karla, who was also known to friends and family as “Güera,” loved life, loved people, her family, friends and her passion for sneakers. Karla loved her Jordan's. She would enjoy riding bikes in San Francisco and going out with her friends. Karla had big dreams of wanting to use this passion for people to help others.

 She is survived by her parents Juan and Soledad Ramirez and her siblings Victor Alonso and Lizbeth. They were so proud of her achievements and zest for life. Born in Mexico and then becoming a Bay Area resident in 2002. She attended the Korematsu Middle School in El Cerrito before graduating San Lorenzo High School. After high school, Güera was so proud to have been able to afford her first car on her own, she went off to college and was studying law, which she was currently doing for the past 3 years. Everyone who knew her was always so proud of her. Karla was full of life, so loving and caring and will always be remembered for how adorable she was and having the greatest smile. Karla’s brightness and passion will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed.

Services for Karla are as follows:

 A Visitation is set for Monday, November 14, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Grissom’s Mortuary

Funeral Mass will be the following morning, Tuesday, November 15, 2016 promptly at 11 A.M. located at St. John’s Catholic Church E. Lewelling Blvd. San Lorenzo, CA. Immediately following will be the burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 26320 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA.
