Julio A. “Yu Yo, Grandpa” Figueroa Mendez entered peacefully into rest on November 27, 2017. He was 76 years old.

Born in Patillas, Puerto Rico on May 3, 1941 to Ramona and Juan Figueroa, Julio was a graduate of Patillas Lebron High School. He met and married his beloved wife, Ines Camacho and made their home in Hayward. Julio owned a gas station for 40 years, loved his rooster fighting, a true family man who loved unconditional and helping others.

Julio is survived by his children Joana, Julio Jr., Ilia, Ivelisse and Gloria; 40+ grandchildren and 60+ great-grandchildren; siblings, Gloria Guevara, Ruben, Johnny, Hilda, Jose Antonio, Carmen Socorro, Jose Ramon and Ramoncita.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 9, 2017 beginning at 3:00PM - 4:00PM at Grissom's Chapel and Mortuary 267 E. Lewelling Blvd. San Lorenzo, CA 94580
