Joseph Jerome Warnock , also known as Jerry or Pop to his family passed away on September 16, 2016 in Manteca, Ca.
He was born on October 9, 1930 in Hamilton , Ontario to Constance E. and Ernest J. Warnock. Jerry was a resident of San Ramon for 43 years. He was married to his college sweetheart Madeline Warnock for 54 years until her death in 2008. He was preceded in death by their daughter Laura J. Warnock in 1978. Pop is survived by his brother Douglas Warnock in Florida. Jerry is also survived by his children Sheryl A. Dial, Thomas J. and Lucinda Warnock, James J. and Carol Warnock, Cynthia L. and Hab Sosa. He was blessed with his grandchildren Joseph, William, Daniel and Alexander Dial, Corinne and Sarah Warnock, and Edward and Samuel Sosa; and his great grandchildren: Kaylynn, Chris, DJ, and Mackenzie.
Jerry served in the Army for 2 years during the Korean conflict and graduated from the University of Rochester in New York with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as an engineer and in business management for 42 years. Dad's primary focus was his family. He spent most of his free time improving the family cottage in Honeoye, NY that he built with his father when he was 16 . He enjoyed gardening, watching football, being on a sailboat or visiting the mountains. During his life he was part of bowling leagues and served as a boy scout leader.
Dad was a source of constant support and love for his family proven to the end with his farewell of "Love to the family".
A Celebration of life will be held at Pop's home at 5:00pm on Saturday September 24, 2016
