Joseph Rosario was born in Oakland on July 10th, 1963 and passed away on March 8th, 2020 in Burlingame at the age of 56.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Joyce (Barroca) Rosario, and his little brothers Tony and Johnny.  He is survived by his wife Nancy Lee, children Daniel and Charlotte Rosario, sister Katrina and brother-in-law Rui Ferreira, nephews Anthony Rosario, Carlo and Frankie Ferreira, and niece Anina Ferreira.

Joey attended St. Felicitas Catholic School, Moreau High School, and Cal State Hayward where he earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a minor in math. Joey was passionate about technology and spent his career architecting software systems for companies such as Kaiser, Schwab and Wells Fargo. He also had an entrepreneurial spirit, founding and leading ABLSoft, a financial software company, that provides software services to banks and lenders across the country.

On a personal level, Joey was creative, charming and funny.  He could always make his children laugh with his flawless voice impersonations. Joey was an athlete, musician, and lover of the outdoors, and enjoyed mountain biking, windsurfing, snowboarding and the drums.  Aside from being the consummate human being that he was, he had a calm strength and fighting spirit that helped him to weather challenges and complexities that came upon him throughout his life. Joey will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
