Josefina Muli Kern passed away peacefully on February 27, 2017 in San Francisco, California. Friends and family also knew her as “Josie, Jo and Pining.” Josefina was born on March 18, 1942 in the Philippines to Augstin M. Muli and Estela David Muli.  Josefina has now joined her brothers Renato and Jesus.  She leaves behind her siblings David, Estrella, Angelita and Joey.  Josefina attended Far Eastern University in the Philippines where she earned her bachelors degree in english and litature. She raised their children, Claire, Michael, Joseph, Venus, and Joy.  Josefina enjoyed spending time with her 12 grandchildren, Mark, Jasmine, Kyla, Kyle, Austin, Jarrett, Jason, Julia, Jasper, Jacob, Cody, and Brooklyn. She cherished her great-grandchild Jayla Kalina.  Josefina was a business woman who worked in finance and accounting for 17 years. When Josefina had free time she enjoyed cooking, praying, playing cards and eating out.

Visitation for Josefina will be 2pm-8pm on Thursday March 9, 2017 Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo.  Vigil service begins at 6pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Felicitas Catholic Church, 1662 Manor Blvd, San Leandro, at 11:00am on Friday, March 10, 2017.
