Jose “Chelto” Rodriguez Zamora entered peacefully into rest in Castro Valley, California, on August 21, 2019, at the age of 79. He was born March 1, 1940 in Mexico to parents Jesus Rodriguez and Refugio Zamora.

Jose worked as a packer for Owens-Illinois, Inc. for over 15 years, after attending Patriotismo Elementary School. He loved to play soccer, listen to music, and sing.

Jose is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maria Rodriguez; children Jose, Alicia, Adalberto, Abel, Lorena, Ernesto, Maria, Isabel, Lucia, Maricela, and Ana Luisa; nineteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and siblings Manuel, Antonio, Salvador, Jesus, Maria and Isabel.

Visitation for Jose will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at Grissom’s Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA, with services to begin at 6:30 PM. Jose will be laid to rest in Mexico.
