Jose Adan Mena Duarte entered peacefully into rest in San Leandro, California on December 13, 2020. He was 51 years old.

Born June 26, 1969 in Nicaragua to parents Ana Duarte and Jose Mena, Jose attended Woodrow Wilson High School and then enrolled at San Francisco State University till his junior year. He was self-employed as a painter for 20 years.

Jose loved to watch and play sports, watching movies and taking kids to the theatre and cooking breakfast on Sunday’s.

Jose is survived by his wife of 7 years, Suhey Matamoros; children, Brenda, Adan, Ana and Veronica Mena; grandchild, Dylan Mena; siblings, Daniel, Alex, Julia, Yolanda, Francis, Dennis, Chevo Mena.

He was predeceased by his parents Ana Duarte and Jose Mena; siblings, Gerardo, Fidelia and Toño Mena.

Jose will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
